New Month...New Program... New Beginnings!

Hello Community!

Thank you for being a part of this growing movement towards birth equity, reproductive justice and community care. We are working on new programs, bringing back past workshops and working towards new goals... all with a new look. Our July edition of our monthly newsletter is the best way to stay up to date with our new projects, research and events!

NEW INITIATIVES

Introducing the Black Birth Advocacy Program!

We are developing an intimate, 12-week paid hybrid program designed for Black youth (18–35) across the GTA to confidently navigate the healthcare system.  Our 2027 pilot cohort will be limited to 20 spots.

IN THE NEWS

Last month, Cheyenne Scarlett, co-founder of The Black Birth Project, had the opportunity to speak about a report on maternal mental health on CP24.

OUR ADVOCACY WORKSHOP IS BACK

On June 24, we hosted our interactive workshop on health care and self-advocacy. Attendees learned practical strategies for navigating medical appointments, communicating effectively with providers, understanding their rights as patients, and building confidence in your voice within the health care system.

Thank you to all the attendees and we look forward to hosting more workshops like this in the fall!
